Trip to Adirondacks

Adirondacks is a mountain range in upstate New York, north from Albany. I've heard about it before, but never had chance to go there. Thus, when I found out that my roommate Sandy was going there for a day hike, I gladly joined

• Mt. Algonquin Ascent
• Mt. Algonquin is our first destination. It's only three miles, but 3000 feet (=1000 m) elevation change!

• First it was quite an easy walk

• ...but after a while the ascent changed to a quite steep rock

• ...and enjoying amazing views. Adirondacks really are beautiful!

• Now we are almost at the top - entering the Arctic-Alpine zone, a rare phenomenon at this latitude and the only one in New York state

• Time to move to a near smaller peak - through annoying bushes...
